Dear Prospective Presenters:
The Business Convention and Expo of the Deaf invites the submission of proposals for presentations. The official language of the event – American Sign Language.
This “Call for Proposal” submission form allows you to submit your proposal for your presentation at the Business Convention & Expo of the Deaf. You will give the presentation in ASL (American Sign Language). We will screen and select the qualified proposals. We will contact you for the result of your proposal. Thank you!
The Business Convnetion and Expo of the Deaf Committee is seeking for proposals with a broad range of presentations. We will focus on 7 areas:
• Small Business Fundamentals
• Hot Trends in Business
• Mastery Development
• Marketing Strategies
• Business Management
• Finance and Investment
• Balance your work and life
Selected proposals of simultaneous sessions will be held that will take place during the 2-3 days of the Convention, May 27-29, 2010 in Houston, TX.
The Proposal Submission Procedure:
* Submissions need not be anonymous. It is also OK to submit a proposal in which you will present as your true identity.
* The proposal should not be bitter or conspiratorial. We are not interested in tales of mistreatment. Rather, we are interested in experiences, analysys or research results, education, suggested action, development, strategies, and others which are related to our focus in seven fields that will benefit to audience.
* The proposal writing style should be clear that everyone can understand you.
* Government, public, and private sectors are welcome to submit proposals. Also, narratives about graduate studies in management, economics, business, communications are welcome. Business school students are qualified to submit.
Equipments Guideline
Each presentation room will be equipped with an LCD projector with VGA cable and a power cord. PCs and internet access will not be provided in these rooms; presenters will be expected to bring their own laptops with presentation materials loaded. Overhead slide projectors and internet access will NOT be available in presentation rooms. In addition to loading your presentation materials on your laptop, as a backup, we recommend that you also save these files to a USB memory stick or CD and bring these with you.
